25 MILER: this is an ideal ride for first time riders, or young and inexperienced horses. It travels the historic Pioneer Express Trail
alongside the American River and Folsom Lake. The trail is challenging, so horses should be well conditioned for the terrain and
distance. The trail is relatively flat, yet with a constant ascent to the Auburn Staging Area.
50 MILER: this is the 39th annual, oldest sanctioned 50 mile ride in the world. It follows the same course as the 25, with a one hour
lunch stop in Auburn. From there is follows the Robie/WSTF Trail to Cool, completes the entire Olmstead Loop, then returns to Auburn for the finish.
75 MILER: This year we will not have the 75 mile event.
Please see Articles/news hotlink for reasons and details.
All events are challenging. Bring well conditioned horses and be prepared yourself.
